Amazing Grace Guitar - Instrumental

Amazing Grace

This is stylized guitar piece loosely based around the popular melody of Amazing Grace, although now in DADGAD tuning. I wrote this piece while sitting on the tailgate of my truck camping at Snafu lake near the Yukon/BC border.  I remember this summer being particularly smoky from several major forest fires burning in the area and the day was overcast with low lying clouds and limited visibility over the lake due to the smoke. I believe that the ambience of this moment is captured well in the piece and it always serves to remind me of that smoke filled day near the lake. I hope you enjoy it.
